Wilpattu National Park – Where You meet Wild Life

Wilpattu National Park is Sri Lanka’s largest and oldest wildlife sanctuary, covering over 1,300 square kilometers. It is famous for its unique landscape, featuring natural lakes (called “villus”) that attract a wide variety of wildlife. The park is home to leopards, elephants, sloth bears, deer, crocodiles, and many bird species, making it a great place for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts.

Unlike other national parks, Wilpattu offers a more tranquil safari experience due to its vast size and fewer crowds. The park’s dense forests, open grasslands, and wetlands create a diverse habitat, providing visitors with a chance to witness Sri Lanka’s wildlife in a truly untouched and natural setting.
